Get Fitter by being a New Year Quitter
It is proven you are more likely to quit smoking with one to one support than going it alone.
We are here to support you every step of the way towards achieving a much healthier lifestyle through support and advice on reducing your risk of developing conditions and illnesses and, if you smoke, support to help you quit.
Missed Appointments
Have you struggled to get an appointment with us recently?
In January 2018:
81 ten minute appointments were wasted.
37 fifteen minute appointments were wasted.
44 twenty minute appointments were wasted.
13 thirty minute appointments were wasted.
This amounted to almost 44 hours of clinical time.
This is an open letter from the practice to the hundreds of patients who have failed to turn up or cancel their appointments at the surgery. In January 2018 alone, 175 appointments for either a doctor, a practice nurse, a midwife or health care assistant were made, but then not attended. Neither were they cancelled.
This is a particular busy time of year for us, with the pressures of winter illnesses increasing demand upon our appointment system. We could have offered these appointments to someone else.
Please either use our automated telephone system, online access or let the reception team know that you no longer need or can’t make your appointment.
Please contact reception to register for online access.
Phone Numbers
Do we have an up to date contact telephone number for you?
You can only use our automated telephone system for booking, checking and cancelling appointments if your phone number is correct.
We will use your phone number as a first point of contact for you when we to take action, please up- date us if your contact details have changed.
Can we use you’re your contact details to inform you of health promotion and management services? Please inform reception staff if you do not wish your contact details to be used.
